Research Division (NAIHS) in collaboration with Department of Community Medicine of NAIHS hosted a five days training on Basic Research Methodology targeting Faculties of NAIHS-College of Medicine, Shree Birendra Hospital and NAIHS-College of Nursing. Training was conducted for 5 days i.e. from 26th Poush to 2nd of Magh, 2077).
The objective of this workshop was to introduce the basics of research methodology, teach how to write a research proposal and introducing basics on Statistical Software.
The opening of Ceremony was inaugurated by Chief guest of program Maj.Gen.(Retd.) Prof. Dr. Nagendra Bahadur K.C. Executive Director of NAIHS in the presence of other delegates Prof.Dr.Lochana Shrestha, Head of Department (Community Medicine) NAIHS, Member Secretary of Research Division (NAIHS) and Faculties of NAIHS. The co-ordinator of the training, Maj.Dr.Naveen Phuyal, formally opened the training with a welcome of speech from Prof.Dr.Lochana Shrestha , focused on importance of research for Faculties and with key note message on various aspects of Training.
In total 16 participants including 6 participants from College of Medicine, 8 Participants from Shree Birendra Hospital and 2 Participants from College of Nursing got training about basics of research methodology. Training highlighted the areas like designing research, basic statistics, writing research proposal and other various issues that might help during the accomplishment of Research Thesis.
This training program is expected to award 20 credit points by Nepal Medical Council.
